I’m going to the NCTM National Conference on Wednesday, and my directions are to “go to whatever you want and bring things back to share with other math teachers.”
This is lovely in the freedom it provides, but I unfortunately don’t actually have any idea how to do that. What, exactly, will other math teachers want to know? How do I know which sessions will be best for those things? How do I prioritize my time, and not spend all my time at things that I personally just think are cool? How do I get the most bang for my buck? What should I not miss?
Have you been to these conferences before? Will you be at this one? Does your district give more clear directions? Do you have advice?
I’d love to hear any of it, either in the comments or at [email protected]
