I love writing this blog, because it’s an amazing way to process my days and track how I’m changing as a teacher. It’s nice to know that people are paying attention to what’s happening to me and my kids, and I can’t help but hope that it’s sparking interest and understanding about public education in people who would otherwise not be paying attention. (Oh yeah, and when I found out in April last year that I was supposed to have been keeping a record of my highs and lows for each month of my entire first year, guess where I came to remember what to write about? Blogging is great on so many levels.)
Hopefully you also enjoy this blog at least a little bit and aren’t just here because someone forced you. And if you’re on mine accidentally and really hate it, hopefully you’re clicking the recommended links at the bottom of the page and trying those instead… because there are some really worthwhile blogs on here.
The lovely people who run this website give me a place to write and give you a place to read, and apparently that actually costs money. If you like anything on here even a little bit, it would be wonderful if you went here http://www.refresheverything.com/teachforus and voted for TeachForUs to win lots of money. You can also just text 103588 to 73774. It’s quick and easy and you can vote every single day until December 1 if you’re awesome like that.
